The stage is set for an electrifying start to the 2025 Australian motorsport season as the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour roars into action at Mount Panorama this weekend. Known as Australia’s International Enduro, this prestigious event sees world-class GT racing talent converge on the iconic circuit for a gruelling once-around-the-clock battle.
Among the standout names to watch is reigning Repco Supercars champion Will Brown, who has his eyes on victory. Teaming up with Supercars rival and close friend Chaz Mostert, Brown will take the wheel of a Pro-class Ferrari 296 GT3, accompanied by Brazilian Ferrari factory driver Daniel Serra.
The partnership promises to deliver fireworks, as Brown and Mostert only recently concluded their Supercars championship rivalry in 2024. Now, as co-drivers, they’ll combine forces in pursuit of endurance racing glory.
Top Names Converge at Mount Panorama
The Bathurst 12 Hour has always served as a magnet for global racing talent, and 2025 is no exception. Daniel Serra, a veteran of endurance racing and a factory Ferrari ace, is fresh off the back of competing in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in the United States. He joins Brown and Mostert as part of the international contingent making the journey Down Under.
Similarly, defending Bathurst 12 Hour champion Matt Campbell will return to defend his crown. Campbell, who hails from Warwick in Queensland, secured a podium finish in a Porsche hypercar at Daytona before heading to Mount Panorama. This weekend, he’ll pilot a Porsche 911 GT3R alongside Ayanhacan Guven of Turkey and Belgian driver Alessio Picariello.
Campbell and Guven have proven to be a winning combination, having shared victory in last year’s race. Their experience and familiarity with the Mountain will undoubtedly make them strong contenders.
Adding even more star power to the grid is MotoGP legend and fan favourite Valentino Rossi, who will return for his third Bathurst 12 Hour. Racing the No. 46 Team WRT BMW M4, Rossi partners with Colin Weerts and Raffaele Marciello. The Italian icon has steadily embraced his second career as a GT racer, and his presence is sure to draw a crowd.
Bathurst 12 Hour: Track to Town and More
The Bathurst 12 Hour is as much about the spectacle off-track as it is about the action on the circuit. Festivities kick off on Thursday with the ever-popular Track to Town event, where the entire grid of GT cars will parade into Bathurst’s CBD. Fans will be treated to a signing session with all drivers, offering a rare chance to meet their favourite motorsport stars up close.
The Bathurst 12 Hour runs from January 31 to February 2, with tickets, camping, and corporate experiences available through the official website www.bathurst12hour.com.au
Australia’s International Enduro will be broadcast live on the Seven Network and Foxtel, with live streaming available on 7plus and Kayo.
