After three whirlwind years of touring the globe, beloved Australian artist Ziggy Alberts is coming home – and he’s bringing with him a celebration like no other. This November, Ziggy kicks off his aptly named Homecoming Tour, marking a major milestone in a career that has gone from the streets of Byron Bay to some of the world’s most iconic stages.

Ziggy’s last few years have been anything but quiet. Since releasing his seventh studio album NEW LOVE, he’s barely stopped moving – playing to crowds across Europe, the UK, North and South America, Asia, and right here in regional Australia. From intimate venues to sold-out international icons like London’s Royal Albert Hall, Ziggy has built a truly global audience, while keeping his independent roots and authentic voice front and centre.

But now, it’s time to return to where it all started. This November, Ziggy Alberts will play some of the biggest Australian shows of his career – all-ages events in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne that promises new music, connection, energy and a whole lot of heart.

From the streets of Byron to Arena Headliner

The Homecoming Tour isn’t just a return to Australia – it’s a full-circle moment. In Melbourne, Ziggy will take a huge leap forward with his first-ever arena show at Margaret Court Arena, a milestone that reflects just how far he’s come. It’s the same artist who once busked on the streets of Byron Bay, now standing centre stage in front of thousands, still doing it all independently.

“For me, it’s about living out the message of the New Love album – to believe in yourself and to take chances,” Ziggy shares. “Which is what we’re doing with my first-ever arena show and doing it all independently. I can’t imagine a better way to celebrate a beautiful couple of years of life before the next chapter.”

It’s a big statement from a performer who’s always stayed true to his own path. With over one billion streams worldwide, three APRA Awards for Most Performed Blues & Roots Work, and a gold certification in Canada for the much-loved track Runaway, Ziggy continues to prove that you don’t need to follow the traditional industry mould to make a global impact.

A Tour That Gives Back

As always, Ziggy’s values are front and centre. The tour will be run in line with his ongoing Green Touring Initiative – a commitment to minimising environmental impact and giving back to the communities that welcome him.

“Green Touring has become a standard of how we tour the world,” he says. “It’s about making conscious choices, every day, at every show.” That means everything from avoiding single-use plastics and offering water refill stations, to hosting environmental stalls and encouraging fans to bring their own bottles.

Ziggy recalls a memorable moment from a past show at Riverstage in Brisbane, where fans stayed back to help clean up. “It was amazing!” he says. And he’s hoping to recapture that spirit this time around – maybe even sneaking in a beach clean-up for old times’ sake.

Fans attending the Homecoming Tour can expect a dynamic setlist that spans Ziggy’s remarkable journey so far. From certified favourites like RunawayLove Me Now, and the triple platinum hit Laps Around The Sun, to standout tracks from NEW LOVE, the shows are set to offer something special for every generation of fans.

Ziggy’s reputation for heartfelt, energetic performances has only grown over the past few years. In 2024 alone, he’s headlined Summersalt Festival shows across Australia alongside James Bay and Matt Corby, wowed crowds at Bluesfest Byron Bay, and sold out gigs in Vienna, Amsterdam (twice!) and Mexico City as part of the New Love World Tour. But this upcoming run feels different – because it’s for the fans who’ve been there from the very beginning.

“Coming back home, I wanted to close out this chapter in the best way I know how – wrapping up the New Love album era with an all-ages tour that brings the music back to where it all began,” Ziggy says.

All-Ages, All-Inclusive

One of the standout aspects of the Homecoming Tour is its accessibility. All shows are all-ages, inviting fans of every generation to be part of the celebration. It’s a reflection of Ziggy’s broader mission – creating music and experiences that foster genuine connection and community.

These aren’t just concerts. They’re a thank-you, a celebration, and a promise of more to come. As Ziggy prepares to take some of Australia’s most iconic stages, he’s doing it with the same grounded energy that won him fans in the first place – and with a heart as full as ever.
