It’s that time of year again when you need to mark your calendar and start booking in annual leave for Splendour in the Grass 2023.  Organisers this morning announced that the event will be returning to North Byron Parklands in July.
The 21st edition of the iconic Music and Arts Festival will bring the world’s most prolific artists and national music treasures to Ngarindjin / North Byron Parklands from Friday 21 July to Sunday 23 July 2023, with onsite camping accessible from Wednesday 19 July.
Australia’s favourite music festival has hosted some of the biggest names in world music, iconic collaborations, and the ultimate mosh pits over the past two decades, creating unforgettable moments for many of the festival-goers who make the annual pilgrimage from all corners of the country.
In my ten years of attending the event, I’ve realized that while I have many cherished Splendour memories in front of one of the event’s stages, the majority of my stories come from kicking around the Tipi Village or campgrounds. Meeting new people at all hours of the day and discovering inventive ways to navigate the sometimes muddy Splendour experience has added an extra layer of excitement and adventure to my time at the festival.
