After more than a decade away, Lady Gaga is officially returning to Australian stages — and she’s making it bigger than ever. The 14-time Grammy Award winner has announced three massive stadium dates across Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney as part of her worldwide The MAYHEM Ball tour, marking her first live performances in the country since 2014.

Kicking off in December, the Australian leg of the tour will see Gaga bring her boundary-pushing spectacle to Marvel Stadium (Melbourne) on December 5, Suncorp Stadium (Brisbane) on December 9, and Accor Stadium (Sydney) on December 12. These shows also mark her first-ever stadium concerts in Australia, adding a historic twist to her long-awaited return.

The announcement follows overwhelming demand for the global tour, which saw Gaga add 13 extra shows after sell-out success across initial on-sale dates. With her new album MAYHEM breaking records around the world, Australian fans can expect a performance that reflects both her pop dominance and her signature creative reinvention.

A Long-Awaited Return Down Under

It’s been 11 years since Lady Gaga last toured Australia, with fans still reminiscing over 2014’s ArtRave: The ARTPOP Ball. Now, with The MAYHEM Ball, she’s set to deliver a new chapter — one that promises high energy, visual spectacle and a powerful celebration of her latest music.

Pre-sale for Australian shows opens Monday, April 14. Mastercard holders will gain exclusive access starting at 10am local time (Melbourne), 11am (Sydney), and 12pm (Brisbane), with the window closing Wednesday, April 16 at the same local times. A second round of preferred ticket access launches Thursday, April 17 at midday in Melbourne, 1pm in Sydney, and 2pm in Brisbane.

For the superfans, Mastercard is also offering a unique Priceless experience including an onstage photo opportunity, pre-show access, and a Q&A with a member of Gaga’s crew. More info is available at priceless.com/music.

Riding the Wave of MAYHEM

Gaga’s latest studio release, MAYHEM, has already cemented its place in pop history. Described as “a declaration of artistic freedom,” the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has held strong in the Top 10 across multiple global charts. It also marked Gaga’s seventh consecutive No. 1 album, a testament to her lasting connection with audiences worldwide.

With over 5.2 billion streams globally, MAYHEM has become the fastest-selling international release of the year, reaching No. 1 in 12 countries, including Australia. The record’s mix of chaos, vulnerability and personal storytelling has been praised by critics and fans alike, reaffirming Gaga’s status as one of pop’s most influential figures.

In her own words, Gaga describes the creative process behind the album as akin to “assembling a shattered mirror,” saying, “Even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something memorable and whole in its own way.”

Breaking Records with “Die With a Smile”

The tour’s momentum has been fuelled by the massive success of lead single “Die With a Smile,” Gaga’s standout collaboration with Bruno Mars. The track has spent 15 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, tying for the second-longest run at the top in the chart’s history, and held the top spot on Spotify’s global chart for 168 days — more than any other song ever.

These milestones have added to the buzz surrounding The MAYHEM Ball, with fans eagerly awaiting the chance to see the record’s biggest hits — including “Abracadabra” and “Disease” — performed live for the first time in Australia.

Global Tour, Local Highlights

Following her headline performances at Coachella, stadium shows in Mexico City and Singapore, and a landmark free concert on Copacabana Beach in Rio, Lady Gaga will officially launch The MAYHEM Ball on July 16 in Las Vegas. The tour will travel through North America, Europe and the UK before reaching Australia in December.

Each show is expected to feature the dynamic storytelling, immersive visuals, and fearless fashion that have become Gaga’s trademark. For Australian fans, this is more than just a concert — it’s a homecoming event over a decade in the making.

With demand already sky-high across the globe, fans are being urged to get in early and secure their place at what promises to be one of 2025’s most talked-about music events.
