After months of anticipation, the renowned Little Truffle Dining Room & Bar is set to dazzle its patrons once again with a magnificent makeover. Esteemed Chef and Restaurateur Daniel Ridgeway, along with his wife Ruggie, have unveiled their beloved establishment’s stunning renovation, promising an elevated dining experience like no other.
The decision to temporarily close its doors during the disruptive light rail construction, a choice driven by a commitment to guest comfort, has paved the way for this remarkable transformation. Little Truffle Dining Room & Bar re opened its iconic timber doors on Tuesday.
Owner and chef Daniel Ridgeway expressed his excitement, saying, “We are thrilled to finally welcome our guests back after an 11-month hiatus. Our loyal customers have missed us, and we have certainly missed them. We can’t wait to unveil what we’ve created.”
The million-dollar renovation has brought about a complete overhaul of the venue, including layout, fixtures, seating, bar, amenities, and kitchen. “Little Truffle 2.0 exudes sophistication with its deep navy color scheme, brushed brass finishings, dramatic velvet curtains, and dark timber floors,” added owners Daniel and Ruggie Ridgeway.
The eagerly awaited new menu will feature both classic dishes like the heirloom beetroot salad, Moreton Bay bug & prawn tortellini, and vanilla panna cotta and raspberry souffle, as well as a range of exciting new offerings.
Owner and chef Daniel Ridgeway elaborated, “Our spring re-opening menu showcases a wide array of new dishes, including beef tartare, duck breast cassoulet with Toulouse sausage, quail ballotine, and steamed ocean trout. The highlight is our new wood-fired oven, presenting dishes like cast iron-baked focaccia with mozzarella, whole fish, and an impressive selection of prime meat cuts.”
The grill and wood-fired dishes include delectable options like Cape Grimm beef rib eye, Wagyu steak special, a whole lamb shoulder, and the catch of the day. Dessert enthusiasts will delight in the new dessert trolley offering a daily dessert du jour, along with classics like strawberry ‘Romanoff,’ souffle, panna cotta, and affogato.
Little Truffle Dining Room & Bar now boasts two private dining spaces. The Cellar Room accommodates up to 20 guests and offers a private entry for added discretion. In the main dining room, The Indigo Room can cater to up to 16 people and can be transformed into a private space with elegant thick curtains.
The addition of a New York-style 8-seater bar enhances the pre and post-dinner experience, making it an ideal destination for both beverages and full dining.
Chef Daniel Ridgeway leads the culinary team alongside Chef de Cuisine Jason Burt. Venue Manager Josh Webber and Assistant Manager Ben Thiedeman are prepared to welcome back loyal patrons and introduce newcomers to the sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere.
“We can’t wait for our loyal locals and visitors to experience our brand-new Little Truffle Dining Room & Bar. We appreciate our customers’ patience and loyalty during our renovations and are certain that you will be blown away by our new venue,” said Daniel and Ruggie Ridgeway.
