Congratulations on making it so far in the coveted Miss Universe Australia competition tell us a little about yourself …!
Thank You ! My name is Natalie Roser. I am a positive, easy-going, Aussie girl who grew up on Newcastle’s beaches in NSW. When I was younger you could almost always find me with sand in my hair and a smile on my face, and to be honest not much has changed.
I love being around people who inspire me and make me laugh. I believe laughter is the best medicine for most situations and I like to surround myself with like-minded people. I am a huge fan of F.R.I.E.N.D.S marathon nights, cheesy romantic comedies and chocolate milk.
I recently moved to Sydney after graduating Newcastle University with a degree in Visual Communication and Design, and I am making the most of my new and exciting environment.
Who inspires you most ….?
My mum is my biggest inspiration. She is someone who always manages to be there for my family and I, and she always has the right answer to my problems. She is the kind of woman that I had always hoped to become, and I believe she is constantly guiding me to help me reach my goals and get to where I want be in life.
What do you do for a living ….?
I currently have my workload split between my modeling career and running my own photography business that I started when I was 18. I pride myself on the success of my small business and absolutely love me work. It is the perfect fit for me and I find myself constantly excited and determined to work hard. I love the fashion and photography industry. Every day presents a new challenge where I get to work with amazing, creative people who inspire me.
Speaking of Work Where is your favourite place to kick up your heals after a hard day of work …?
In summer, an afternoon swim at Coogee beach is definitely a favourite. As for Winter, I am happy anywhere that has a heater and good hardy food.
And what does your ideal of rest and relaxation entail …?
Including your favourite chill out music …?
I find that the best way to relax is with a good book. My favourite chill out music would be a playlist comprising of Angus and Julia stone, The XX and a bit of Adele.
And how would you say your work if at all has prepared you for the Miss Universe Australia Competition…?
My work as a model and photographer has definitely helped me in my preparation for miss universe.
What is something people might find interesting about yourself..?
I was recently apart of Naomi Campbell’s Television sensation, The Face. I was lucky enough to make it to the top 12 and was given the opportunity to be mentored by Aussie supermodel, Cheyenne Tozzi. It was a gratifying and exciting experience that has helped the growth of my modeling career.
How would you describe your personal Style…?
My personal style changes regularly. I love fashion and all the options that it offers. My staple go-to however, would be a good pair of jeans and a soft, cotton shirt. Comfort and simplicity.
Talking of style who is your favourite designer or brand …?
I really love the work of Australian designers such as Camilla and Marc and Stella McCartney, but I spend a lot of time looking through General Pants Co. I love the combination of brands they offer.
And what does your beauty & fitness regime consist of …?
I love exercise and team sports! I spend two nights a week and my weekend on the Netball court. I also enjoy spending time and the gym, taking an hour out of my day 4-5 times a week to work on cardio and strength training. As for my beauty regime, hydration and protection are my key words for skin care. A SPF moisturiser and a natural, organic skincare range that loves and cares for my skin are always in my beauty case. I also try to avoid heated hair stylers where possible to keep my hair healthy.
Where do you see the Miss Universe Journey taking you …?
I would love to see the Miss Universe journey taking me to the international stage. I would love to represent my country and seeing as I will probably never be able to make the Olympics, I see Miss Universe as a fantastic and rewarding option to make that dream come true.
We all have a favourite saying or personal mantra what would you say is yours..?
My dad has drilled in to me that ‘planning prevents poor performance’, and with running my own business and loving a busy lifestyle, that’s a mantra that I have picked up to keep organised.
And what are the five things in your life you just can’t live without …?
My family. There are 5 people in my family, so that filled that list up quickly! I couldn’t live without them and their support.
