Miss Universe Australia 2017 Finalist - Monique Evren

Miss Universe QLD Finalist Interview - Monique Evren

Well, Autumn is in full swing, and It’s also that time of year when the search to find Miss Universe Australia is well underway with state finalists being announced across the country.

So we thought it would be a perfect time to kick off some home state interviews with Monique Evren.
Congratulations on making it through to the state finals.

We all have motivations, Mine usually revolves around coffee but what was your key motivation for entering the MUA competition?

I am a very passionate and motivated person, and I feel being in the public eye is a great platform to initiate change, even if it is only in my local community. I am a strong ambassador for the equality of the abled and disabled and feel no one should be left out just because they may be a little different. Everyone deserves the same experiences in life.

What part of the Miss Universe Australia program are you most looking forward to?

So far it has all been an amazing experience. But like I’m sure everyone else is, I am most looking forward to competition day as this will be the time we get to meet and really interact with all other the contestants, learn some new things and have a great time in the process.

We are all unique so what would you say is something that makes you stand out from the other contestants?

I would say a unique thing about me would have to be my surname as it translates to Universe in English. So my name is already Miss. Universe.

With the state finals, less than a fortnight away, has your routine changed at all?

I live a pretty relaxed lifestyle when it comes to eating clean and exercising regularly. But I have joined in on some gym classes to improve my overall fitness and make myself feel a little healthier.

What is something that you hope to bring out of the Miss Universe Australia pageant?

More friends, and more experience. You can learn something from everything you do in life, and this is just another thing to broaden my knowledge and strive to be better.

We will wrap up with a few irrelevant and random questions, now that my coffee has worn off.
Name five things you can’t live without?

1. Support of my family
2. My pets
3. KFC chicken nuggets
4. My phone
5. Cars

How long does it take you to scroll through Facebook before giving up?

I am not a huge fan on aimless scrolling through Facebook as I only really use it to keep in contact with friends, but if I were doing a scroll, it wouldn’t be for longer then 15 minutes before I got bored and moved onto something else.

How would your closest friend describe you?

A little over-the-top, flamboyant, compassionate, devoted and amicable.

When You Dance, You look like?

A 3-legged moose.

Finally, and this one is important, so please pay attention… What do you think pets dream about?

Past events and memories. Things that have already occurred.

So not long now until this highly anticipated event that will see 28 of QLD’s most beautiful women compete to secure a spot as a QLD National Finalist, and go on to compete in and represent QLD in the Miss Universe Australia National Final. Get Your Ticket Here
