Winter has well and truly arrived on the Gold Coast. Since late June, Paradox Coffee Roasters Café in Broadbeach has been serving a brand-new seasonal menu, and it is exactly what we need for these cooler mornings. If you have not visited the Oracle Dining Precinct lately, it is time to make a reservation and see what the team has been working on.

Savoury Winter Warmers. The standout arrival is the Shibuya Chilli Eggs. This dish takes the café’s popular chilli scramble and gives it a serious upgrade. Think folded eggs with whipped goat’s curd, tempura enoki mushrooms, pickled cucumber, Japanese chilli crunch, soy tare and shallots on toasted sourdough.

If you are after something indulgent, the French Cluck is a game changer. It combines buttermilk-fried chicken, a crispy fried egg, jalapeño crema, house pickles, shallot sesame crunch, and sriracha maple, all stacked on golden French toast. For a lighter option, the refreshed Superfood Bowl offers warm freekeh, chickpeas, kale, honey-roasted pumpkin, spiced cauliflower and whipped lemon labneh, topped with crispy rice puffs.

Sweet Comforts and Quick Bites Breakfast lovers looking for comfort will enjoy the Warm Rice Pudding, which features coconut rice pudding, coconut labneh, poached rhubarb, white chocolate, rhubarb gel, berries, pistachio crumble and puffed rice. Another seasonal treat is the Ricotta & Quince Toast, served on thick buttered sourdough with whipped honey ricotta, poached quince, fresh berries, orange segments, candied walnuts and lemon balm.

If you need a quick lunch on the go, the café has also added three new gourmet toasties to the lineup, including a Mortadella Toastie, a Pollo Toastie and a classic Reuben.

Speciality Winter Drinks: The drinks menu has also been refreshed for the season. The Bueno Hot Chocolate is a must-try, blending Lindt milk and white chocolate with subtle hazelnut notes. Coffee fans can grab the new Tiramisu Iced Latte, topped with a vanilla mascarpone cold foam and a traditional Savoiardi biscuit. For matcha drinkers, the Strawberry Rhubarb Iced Matcha offers a refreshing mix of house-made compote and ceremonial-grade matcha.

A Word from the Kitchen Head Chef Vivek explains the vision for the season: "We wanted this menu to embrace the flavours and ingredients that people naturally gravitate towards during winter, while still maintaining the fresh, vibrant approach that Paradox is known for. Every dish has been carefully crafted to offer something familiar with a unique twist."

The winter menu is available right now. Paradox Coffee Roasters Café is open Monday to Sunday from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm, with the kitchen open from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm.
