On June 8th at Melbourne’s Sofitel on Collins Hotel, 21-year-old Perth girl Renae Ayris was crowned Miss Universe® Australia 2012 during a black-tie, red-carpet gala event. Renae’s universe is now lit up with media appearances, television interviews and campaigns that will continue throughout her reign — particularly as she prepares over the coming months for the international final in December.
With Renae immediately shooting into the international spotlight, one of the most exciting perks of being crowned was her overnight appointment as ambassador for Miss Universe® Australia sponsor Novo Shoes. “I can’t believe I’m getting a year’s supply of shoes and bags! Novo has amazing bags!”
Straight after the crowning ceremony, Renae was surrounded by media and new fans, with interviews and photographs each day across Melbourne, Sydney and Perth showcasing her winning sash and the beautiful personality that Australia is already falling in love with. She then jetted back to Melbourne for her first campaign shoot as Miss Universe® Australia for Novo Shoes, with the colours and styles of Novo’s new spring/summer range looking every bit as gorgeous as our newly crowned queen.
