This morning organisers have announced the return of the Brisbane Fashion Festival, Queensland’s largest and most prestigious fashion event for 2022.
The event will take over King George’s Square in the heart of Brisbane this August from Monday the 22nd to Friday the 26th and is set to welcome more than 2,000 fashionable fans across three days of the event.
Brisbane Fashion Festival Director Lindsay Bennet is excited to unveil the initial plans for the 2022 event.
“Brisbane Fashion Festival proved to be a much-longed-for celebration last year amid the challenges of the pandemic and a wonderful example of the joy that fashion can provide,” Mr Bennett said.
“With tickets to all last year’s events selling out in less than three days, plans are being developed to allow even greater numbers of fashion lovers to rediscover and support Queensland and Australian designers.
“Seizing and expanding on the success of Brisbane Fashion Festival 2021, the 2022 Festival will continue the momentum of our successful new format within a spectacular setting, to ensure the experience is as exciting and engaging as ever.” Mr Bennett said.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the Brisbane Fashion Festival was a beacon for the city’s established fashion industry.
“Brisbane’s incredible spring weather, thriving inner-city, and our iconic King George Square will provide a stunning backdrop for Brisbane’s most loved fashion extravaganza,” Cr Schrinner said.
“Brisbane is home to some of the country’s most innovative and creative designers, and this prestigious festival will once again shine the spotlight on our city’s creative industry while attracting further brand exposure for local talent.”
