2ND LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENT A swag of country music stars are set to descend on Doomben Racecourse in aid of Aussie farmers with the second line-up for Brisbane’s inaugural Country Music Raceday announced this week. The fiery 8 Ball Aitken, hot off his Nashville tour, will support Golden Guitar award winners The McClymonts at the September 12 event in support of charity Buy a Bale. Country music favourites Seleen McAlister, Dozzi and Taylor Moss also star in the extended line-up for the event which features a full thoroughbred racing program by day and a stellar country music line-up into the evening. Bringing the best of country music to his home state, 8 Ball Aitken will thrill crowds with his beloved anthems ‘Shut the front door’ and ‘I’m going to jail’. Brisbane sister trio Dozzi are set to sizzle on stage, performing their hit single ‘I need you tonight’ which has earned them praise nationwide. Entertainment runs all day with a country-style fashions on the field competition, line dancing, mechanical bull riding and a petting zoo for the kids. The event is expected to attract punters from all over Queensland with camping packages available to allow racegoers to camp out at Doomben Racecourse. The Brisbane Racing Club will donate ten dollars from every ticket sold to charity partner Buy a Bale, to support Australian rural and farming communities doing it tough.
