Gold Coast Airport is gearing up for a bustling festive season as it anticipates over 1.2 million travellers crossing its terminals during December and January. To cater to this surge in passengers, Heinemann Australia has unveiled its new 200 sqm store within the airport’s domestic terminal, promising an elevated retail experience for holidaymakers traversing Australia.
Expanding upon its existing footprint in the international terminal, Heinemann has now introduced its complete Fashion and Accessories range to the Gold Coast Airport’s domestic terminal. This impressive lineup boasts 22 brands encompassing international luxury labels as well as distinctly Australian products. Additionally, a comprehensive Beauty range is slated to join the offerings in the near future.
Mirroring the design ethos of Heinemann’s international terminal store and drawing inspiration from Gold Coast Airport’s Coast to Hinterland concept, the new shop exudes the essence of the region’s picturesque landscapes. Employing materials, textures, and a colour palette reminiscent of the area’s world-renowned beaches, Heritage-listed rainforests, and majestic mountains, the store aims to immerse travellers in a visually captivating experience.
Among the highlights are renowned local brands such as All Kinds, PE Nation, The Upside, and Frank Green, each making their debut in the realm of domestic travel retail and adding a distinctly Australian flair. Notably, Heinemann proudly introduces the iconic Australian luxury resortwear brand, Camilla, to Gold Coast Airport, marking its first appearance following a successful launch in Heinemann’s Sydney duty-free store.
George Tsoukalas, Managing Director of Heinemann Australia, expressed excitement about the expansion, emphasizing the company’s commitment to enhancing the customer experience. “Our new presence in Gold Coast Airport and soon in Sydney Airport domestically allows us to reach out to a larger consumer base. We can offer more brands and value-added services like home delivery, all enhancing the customer experience,” Tsoukalas stated.
Adam Rowe, Chief Commercial Officer of Queensland Airports Limited, highlighted the collaborative efforts driving this development. “Heinemann’s new store is part of the ongoing upgrades within our domestic terminal, providing customers with increased choices and an enhanced retail experience,” Rowe remarked. He emphasized the natural progression of the partnership with Heinemann, citing the success of the international store since its inception.
Customers visiting Heinemann’s Gold Coast domestic terminal store can leverage services like Click & Collect and the revamped Heinemann & Me Loyalty program in Australia. The loyalty program, which has already integrated new partners at Sydney Airport with further expansion planned for Gold Coast, offers members various price advantages and rewards.
