The wait is finally over for fans of the beloved Emmy Award-winning comedy. Apple TV+ has confirmed that Ted Lasso will return for a fourth season, with the global debut set for winter 2026 in Australia.
Jason Sudeikis is back as the eternally optimistic American football coach who captured hearts around the world, and this time he’s facing his biggest challenge yet.
A new chapter for Ted
Season four sees Ted return to Richmond, but with a twist. Rather than coaching the men’s Premier League side, he’ll be taking charge of a second division women’s football team.
Throughout the season, Ted and his new squad will learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.
It’s a fresh direction for the series that promises to deliver the same warmth, humour and heartfelt moments that made Ted Lasso a global phenomenon.
The gang’s all here
Fan favourites are returning in force for the new season. Emmy Award winner Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Emmy Award winner Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift will all reprise their celebrated roles.
The fourth season also welcomes several new faces to the Richmond family. Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely have all joined the cast.

Fresh creative talent behind the scenes
The new season brings some exciting changes to the creative team. Emmy Award winner Jack Burditt, known for his work on Nobody Wants This, Modern Family and 30 Rock, joins as executive producer under a new overall deal with Apple TV+.
Sudeikis stars and executive produces alongside Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee and Bill Wrubel. Goldstein serves as writer and executive producer alongside Leann Bowen, while Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh join as writers and producers.
Bill Lawrence continues to executive produce via his Doozer Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television Studios and Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content.
A record-breaking legacy
Ted Lasso has established itself as one of the most successful comedy series in recent memory. Following its global debut on Apple TV+, the show broke records and earned praise from fans and critics worldwide.
The first season became the most Emmy Award-nominated comedy series, and the show went on to achieve rare back-to-back Outstanding Comedy Series wins for its first two seasons.
The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Kelly and Hunt, based on the preexisting format and characters from NBC Sports.
Where to watch Ted Lasso Season Four
Will premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ this winter, with official dates to be announced.
